Description & History

The Richmond Public Library provides up to one hour per week per child of free homework help to students grades one through six.  Homework Help is available after school in the Whittlesey Room of the Main Library on Tuesdays and Wednesdays during the school year, except during holiday recesses. Registration is required, space is limited.  The Library's homework help tutors are adults who enjoy the company of children and understand the importance of patient encouragement and positive reinforcement.
